K-8 Curriculum

The K-8 curriculum has recurring themes that build each year on the previous grade. Students receive an individualized approach where each child can go as fast or slow as needed. The main subjects such as language arts, math, science, history, art, and music are all combined to encourage a full time schooling option. All subjects are integrated together where students may be reading literature during a history lesson.

Language Arts/English

The language arts curriculum helps students develop important reading and writing skills. The program emphasizes classic works, writing as a process, and specific skills that will be assessed on through standardized tests. Younger children learn the basics of phonics and grammar through different activities while older students develop literary analysis and comprehension skills.

Math

The math curriculum uses fundamental skills, critical thinking, and problem solving. The use of online games and animations allows for illustration of the concept, challenging problems, and review mastery of basic skills. Younger students are exposed to a making connections between the concrete and abstract while older students are experience algebra. 

Science Curriculum

Science Curriculum uses hands on experiments with focuses on life, earth, and physical sciences. Students will practice observation and analytical skills while understanding how the world is shaped by ongoing scientific or technological advances.

History Curriculum

History focuses on the studies of geography and civics allowing students to learn about different times, cultures, and understand history has a story. Kindergarten students learn about the different continents and some famous Americans. Students in grades 1-4 study civilization from the stone age to space age while older students explore major themes in the world and American history.
