How it Works

K-8

 Massachusetts Virtual Academy uses the K12 curriculum which is delivered right to the families doorstep which includes books, CD's, and even microscopes.The school will serve students in grades K-12 who can successfully participate in a virtual school environment. Some target groups of students that have been identified for acceptance are:

  • Students with medical conditions that interfere with attendance.

  • Students out of school due to pregnancy or parenting.

  • Students with developmental or social-emotional issues.

  • Student who seek an advanced school program that isn't available in their own school.

  • Students in training for a sport that takes place during the day.

High School

Benefits students in high school receive:

  • Multiple curriculum options that meet the needs of diverse learners.

  • More than 150 courses to choose from including up to four levels in Math, English, Science, and History.

  • Individualized learning plan for each student.

  • College and career readiness.

  • Extracurricular activities and clubs.
